Some factory radios have an integrated diagnostic system that switches off the loudspeakers or deactivates the fader in the radio menu as soon as the connection to the loudspeakers is interrupted. As the high-level input of aftermarket amplifiers is very high impedance, such a radio will not recognize a loudspeaker and will switch off the channel. The ATS-ISOFAD adapter simulates a correct loudspeaker connection to the factory radio and thus tricks the diagnostic tool.
